Coxhoe Village Hall is once again proud of the Beaver, Cubs and Scout Group who meet regularly in the Hall.who are planning a litter pick in the village on the evening of Tuesday 14th April. The group have done several similar clean ups in the last couple of years.

Their hard work and dedication to making Coxhoe a better place has inspired members of Coxhoe Community Partnership, which includes members of the Village Hall Management Committee and parish councillors, to plan and undertake their own litter pick on the same evening.

Chairman of the Community Partnership, and a ‘Friend of Coxhoe Village Hall’ said, ‘In the past voluntary clean ups have always been done by the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts or the youth room. They have inspired us to do something this year and we have chosen to do it on the same evening to show our pride in the group and our commitment to the environment.

We hope that other groups may come forward and do something similar as part of the Keep Coxhoe Clean Campaign and the Durham Big Spring Clean event’.
